PTO Meeting Minutes

Monday, September 10, 2007

6:30 p.m.

 

Attendance was taken and eleven people were present:  Becky Alexander, Kathi Amstutz, Jessica Carrillo, Drena Doseck, Sharon Farthing, Jill Kuhlman, Rachel Miller, Todd Schmutz, Eric Vermillion, Mary Vermillion, and Lynn Downing.

Movie Night: 

Saturday, October 6th – discussed what movie to show: Rattatouie or Shrek III – Jill will decide.  The boys and girls will be on opposite sides of the Auditeria.  The cost will again be $5.00; and include open gym, movie, hot dogs, chips, kool-aid.  Jill will pick up the hot dogs and buns, the Vermillions will supply the kool-aid and jug.  Sharon is purchasing 2 nail art kits.  More pearler beads are needed.

 Saturday, December 8th, and Friday, March 14th.

 Book Fair:  It is currently set for October 24th – November 1st.  A second Book Fair is planned for February 20th-27th.

 Game Night:  Thursday, November 1st.

 Bakery Bingo:  Saturday, February 16th.

 Riley Creek Festival:

 Teacher Appreciation: 

 Playhouse Raffle: The Playhouse will cost about $800.  We are going to look into placing a poster and/or selling tickets at the Bank, Ted’s, and Greg’s Pharmacy.  We are going to send tickets home (5 tickets) with the kids with a short note.  The kids will receive a free ticket when they return their 5 sold tickets.

We will draw the winning ticket at the October 26th football game.  The following people will be working the games:

September 7th               Kathi Amstutz & Drena Doseck

September 28th    Sharon Farthing & Kathi Amstutz 

 

Miscellaneous business:  There was discussion about a fundraiser at the Pandora Sport’s Center.  Jill will look into this a bit more.  Should it be for bowling, pizza, purchase of a bowling package; and can it be for any day, certain days, or just one day

Our next meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 8th at 6:30 P.M.
